AUTHORS NOTE
I know an authors note is the most boring part of a book, I promise I don't intend on posting more but please, please resd this one.
I first started writing on Wattpad back in 2020 during covid, it started with fanfiction, and then I started writing original stories. I wasn't promoting the book on social media or anything but the people who read the stories loved it, I made friends and loyal readers but everytime I was halfway through a book my story got stolen by NovelUpdates. I was a 14 year old who loved writing about the people and scenarios that would not stop playing in my head. It was my favourite thing to do but I was also feeling helpless because of how a website just stole my stories and I could do nothing about it, eventually my 10th boards came, and then I had my 12th boards so I quit Wattpad and started focusing on writing on word, just to put things out of my chest and for me to read and reminise.
A chance encounter on booktube with Indian Wattpad stories and the support I saw authors recieve, blew my mind. I saw that Wattpad was now a safe space to write. So, here I am I've been working on this story for three months now. These characters are my babies and because I am an overthinker I already have an entire series planned in my head.
As I get closer to publication though I am scared again, because turns out I was wrong. There is quite a bit of toxicity going on here. Instead of supporting each other I see people making accusations on each other.
But I won't quit this time. I want to fully complete this one. I already have the whole story planned, and penned.
A few important information for my dearest readers,
1. I have a Wattpad account, I'll link it on my profile, it's there just so that I don't lose my stories again. I also have an Instagram profile where I'll post spoilers.
2. I am writing here because I want to know if my stories have the impact I want them to have. I am looking for constructive criticism and genuine feedback, so don't shy away from commenting or messaging me when you like something, and don't like something. If you get offended or hurt by something in the book, let me know because hurting people is not my intent.
3. There won't be any targets that you have to achieve, not for votes or comments. I love reading and often get hurt when authors don't post because of the targets not being met, while I understand the authors' struggle, I also understand that readers are individuals and are not responsible for each other's actions. But even if you don't vote, please do comment if a thought strikes you when you read. I'd appreciate that.
4. If you read till now, tell me what you feel about the characters. Do you like them? What do you think their story is going to look like?
Each one of you matters to me. So even if you are my only reader, and are a tad bit shy to vote, I still will post for you.
